U&lc - Magazine redesign

Issue n.01 - BODY
The new U&C will publicize the ITC and Monotype typefaces by placing the typography at the service of the magazine and its contents. The theme of each issue will be dedicated to topics related to the typographical vocabulary but at the same time these will be a pretext to offer a broader reflection on the world of design. Upper and lower case will take you, issue after issue, to explore the parts that make up a character: for this reason, the first issue of this new edition wants to focus on the body, understood as a body of character but also in all its meanings that in their own way, always take you back to typography.

Beyond the magazine
For the launch of the magazine, we wanted to offer to our customer the opportunity to experience typography in first person, ink on paper. So, we designed a pop up store in downtown New York in which people could express themselves through the combination of the analogical and the digital world by 3D printing font characters and using them to create art pieces in a fully equipped workshop area.
